Double O Charolais was started in 1977 by Alton , Wilma and David Oney .  Breeding Charolais cattle is a family operation here
at Double O . Alton and Wilma Oney and their son David first got involved with Charolais cattle thru David's 4-H calf projects and trully fell in love with them . What started out as a few Charolais show heifers soon became a full scale working ranch operation . Growing up the other Oney children  Cindy , Johnny , Micheal and a neice , Lauri , showed Charolais heifers all through their school years and are still active with the ranch helping to put on our annual sales . The next generation of Double O has now started with 
several of the grandchildren becoming involved with the ranch .
     In 1987 as the ranch grew in numbers we started an annual female sale , held at the ranch every March . In 1990 we started an annual bull sale held every October at the ranch . It has been our privilege
to have worked with some great friends over the years as guest consignors , who have made our sales an East Texas Tradition .
We have also been blessed with repeat customers , some of which have made every sale that we have held .
     Our goal at Double O is to raise Charolais cattle that offer superior genetics in the areas that matter most to our customers
low birth weights , high weaning and yearling weights and females
that are fertile with quality utters . These traits are a priority for us
but our cattle still must remain functional , with good feet and legs , and be able to prosper on pasture in the real world .
     Our latest accomplishment was to have our senior herd sire
WM Ali Star 250 PET named the 2008 #1 Multiple Trait Leader .
His bull calves have been readily accepted by our customers and 
the heifer calves have been our top sellers for  2006 - 2008 .
